SCHC women the most productive team of 2024
As the year draws to a close, we rewatch hockey in the 2024 Tulp Hoofdklasse Women through various statistics. SCHC scored most goals this year.
Throughout 2024, the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women produced 548 goals in 138 matches, an average of almost four goals per game. Of all the teams, SCHC was the most prolific. Under the leadership of coaches Lucas Judge and his later successor Gilles van Hesteren, the team from Bilthoven scored 75 goals in 23 matches, of course with penalty-corner specialist Yibbi Jansen as main supplier.
Right behind SCHC, Den Bosch and Amsterdam follow with 73 and 70 goals in 23 games respectively. Of all the teams outside the traditional top three, Pinoké was the most successful with 56 goals. The formation of coach Daan Sabel owes this mainly to the production on foreign soil: thirteen away games accounted for forty goals, the most of all clubs.
Amsterdam and Oranje-Rood matches rich in goals
In 2024, the matches of Amsterdam and Oranje-Rood produced the most spectacle in terms of goals. There were 105 cheers in Amsterdam's 23 appearances: seventy for the Amsterdam team and 35 for their opponents. Oranje-Rood's matches resulted in 104 goals, of which the Eindhoven formation scored only 35 themselves.
Leaving aside the matches of relegated Bloemendaal and promoted Huizen, the least goals were scored in Hurley's 23 matches (72). That's just over three goals per match on average.
