Rotterdam acquires Irish international Niamh Carey

Rotterdam has strengthened its squad for next season with Niamh Carey. The Irish international comes over from Belgian side Braxgata, where she played for two seasons.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been a regular in the Irish team since 2021 and has 51 caps to her name. At the World Cup qualifying tournament in Chile, she was voted Player of the Tournament. Last weekend, she played with Ireland against the Netherlands during the Pro League in Rotterdam.
