SCHC-Kampong undecided, wins for Tilburg and Oranje-Rood
The Tulp Hoofdklasse Women's top match between SCHC and Kampong ended without a winner. Leaders SCHC dragged out a 2-2 draw after trailing 2-0. The draw did guarantee Kampong participation in the play-offs. At the bottom of the rankings, Oranje-Rood and straggler Tilburg recorded victories over Bloemendaal (1-3) and HGC (2-4) respectively. This increases the tension at the bottom, partly because number nine Hurley reached 1-1 against Rotterdam. Amsterdam lashed out hard against HDM: 7-1.
SCHC - KAMPONG 2-2
The battle between numbers one and two in the league remained undecided. After goals by Bente van der Veldt and Carlijn Tukkers, Kampong looked on their way to their first win over SCHC since 2007, but sisters Pien and Jip Dicke prevented SCHC's first defeat of the season.
The draw ended SCHC's run of seven wins in a row, but coach Robbert van de Peppel's team is already 31 games unbeaten in the regular league. Kampong did not lose a single match on foreign soil this season and is already unbeaten ten away matches in a row. However, the series of four consecutive away wins came to an end.
HGC - TILBURG 2-4
Just like in the first encounter earlier this season, Tilburg won 4-2 from HGC. That match on 12 October last year was also the last win for the Tilburg team until today.
Despite the victory, Tilburg remains bottom of the league, as number eleven Oranje-Rood also won. The difference between the two teams is three points. HGC suffered its fifth home defeat in a row and eighth league defeat in the last 12 matches.
HGC's club top scorer Mikki Roolaart scored for the first time since 26 October last year, bringing her season total to seven goals. With the defeat, HGC remains tenth, but Oranje-Rood are equal in points.
BLOEMENDAAL - ORANGE-RED 1-3
In the battle against relegation, Oranje-Rood did good business at 't Kopje. Home team Bloemendaal was beaten 3-1. Two goals came off the stick of Julianna Tornetta, the other goal was scored by Lynn Vasterink.
This was only Oranje-Rood's third win in the last 14 league games. With the victory, coach Mark Dekker's team ended the series of six lost away games in a row. After seventeen games, Oranje-Rood is on thirteen points, as many as number ten HGC. Number nine Hurley is two points ahead of both teams.
For Bloemendaal, it was the third defeat in a row. André Morees' team has been waiting for a win for five home games and has recorded only one win in the last 16 home matches.
AMSTERDAM - HDM 7-1
It turned into an embarrassing afternoon for HDM at the Wagener Stadium. Amsterdam won 7-1, the matches already decided before half-time. After two quarters, the home team led 5-0, thanks in part to three goals by Freeke Moes. Her second of the afternoon marked her 50th goal in the Tulp Hoofdklasse for Amsterdam.
Katerina Langedijk, who opened the scoring after only three minutes, scored two goals. Trijntje Beljaars and Daantje de Kruijff were also prolific for Amsterdam, which could not call on Imke Verstraeten and Felice Albers.
In the last eight matches with HDM, Amsterdam scored forty goals, an average of almost six per match. In the last four league games, Jesse Mahieu's team scored 19 goals and only conceded one, which was scored by Kaat Walhof.
For HDM, it was the sixth defeat in the last seven matches. The team is eighth, just three points ahead of numbers ten and 11 in the league table.
ROTTERDAM - HURLEY 1-1
For the fifth time in the last seven games, Rotterdam played a draw. This time the team stuck at 1-1 against Hurley in front of their own crowd. The visitors took the lead after six minutes through Fiona Morgenstern. Before half-time, Emma Santbrink equalised. No more goals were scored after the break.
Rotterdam is thus on a strong run, with only two defeats in the last 13 league matches. Hurley ended the series of three defeats in a row with the point.
On foreign soil, the Bosuilen are not very successful, with only one win in the last 11 away games. Hurley is ninth, two points ahead of numbers 10 and 11 in the league table.
