Top match undecided, first win for Rotterdam
On the fifth round match day in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women, the top match between SCHC and Den Bosch ended undecided. It finished 2-2 in Bilthoven after a hectic final. Kampong ended the unbeaten status of promoted Bloemendaal at 't Kopje, while Rotterdam recorded its first win of the season by beating HDM 2-1 at home.
SCHC - Den Bosch 2-2
In Bilthoven, the top match between SCHC and Den Bosch ended in a tumultuous 2-2. SCHC started strongly and deservedly took the lead after 12 minutes through Jip Dicke, who reacted alertly to a rebound from a penalty corner, her sixth goal of the season. Den Bosch had little to contribute until then, but immediately exploited the first penalty corner. Frédérique Matla pushed the ball unerringly against the board.
After half-time, the visitors were deadly efficient. Babs Reijnen put Den Bosch ahead, taking advantage of an overtime situation as Anna de Geus and Xan de Waard were briefly sidelined with green. The Brabanders seemed to secure the win, until Pien Sanders was sent off with a red card ten minutes before time. She collected her second yellow card after she hit the referee when throwing away her penalty corner protection.
SCHC pressed on. In the final seconds, Anna de Geus was brought down in the circle, followed by a penalty stroke. It was scored by Renée van Laarhoven. As a result, the top match in Bilthoven ended undecided. For the tenth time, SCHC failed to beat Den Bosch on its own field, although the team is now unbeaten in nineteen premier league games. And the team remains leader in the Tulp Hoofdklasse.
Rotterdam - HDM 2-1
Rotterdam has secured its first win of the season. Coach Jorge Nolte's team beat HDM 2-1 at home. Myrthe van Kesteren gave the Rotterdammers the lead shortly after half-time, before Julia Duffhuis scored the equaliser in the last quarter. In the closing stages, Julie van Dam decided the match from the penalty spot. It was Rotterdam's first win since 10 November 2024. Then, Oranje-Rood (1-0) was beaten. Thanks to the three points, Rotterdam ceded last place to Oranje-Rood. Despite the defeat, HDM remains fourth in the rankings.
Bloemendaal - Kampong 0-2
Promoted Bloemendaal suffered their first defeat of the season. Kampong was too strong 2-0 at 't Kopje thanks to late goals by Noor van den Nieuwenhof (penalty stroke) and Bente van der Veldt. With the win, Kampong is now eight matches in a row unbeaten and equal in points with leader SCHC. For Bloemendaal, a strong run of six unbeaten premier league games came to an end.
HGC - Oranje-Rood 4-0
HGC recorded a convincing 4-0 win over Oranje-Rood, marking its second win in the last eight premier league games. Earlier, the team won only on the opening day against Rotterdam (2-0). Against ORANJE-ROOD, Lilly Stoffelsma accounted for two goals, while Isis van Loon and Mikki Roolaart, now club top scorer with four goals, scored the remaining goals. It was only the third home win in 13 matches for HGC, which climbs to seventh place through the win. Oranje-Rood drops to last position due to the defeat.
Pinoké - Hurley 2-0
At the Amsterdamse Bos, Pinoké drew the longest straw in the 41st edition of the derby. It finished 2-0. This gave coach Daan Sabel's team its second victory in a row, after a difficult start to the season with a draw and two defeats. Against neighbours Hurley, Florine Rodenburg and Pam van der Laan scored the goals from a penalty corner. Pinoké is now nine home matches in a row unbeaten against Hurley and rises to eighth place. Hurley drops to spot nine and managed to win only one of its last 10 premier league games.
