Top scorers: first hat-trick for Bente van der Veldt
During the past eleventh round of play in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women, Amsterdam and Kampong were best on target. On behalf of Kampong, Bente van der Veldt registered the first hat-trick in her premier league career.
Amsterdam won 6-0 over Huizen, helped by two goals from Argentine penalty corner specialist Agustina Gorzelany. She has now scored ten goals in the Hoofdklasse and is the second player in double figures after top scorer Frédérique Matla.
In the sub-top, Bente van der Veldt did good business on behalf of Kampong. The striker increased her goal tally to seven on a visit to HGC (1-5 win) by scoring three goals. It was the first time in premier league history that Van der Veldt registered a hat-trick.
With seven goals after eleven games, Van der Veldt is well on her way to a new personal goal record. That currently stands at nine goals, made in service of Kampong in the 2022-2023 season.
