Ramon Min|16.11.2024
The twelfth round of play in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women is upon us. Will Huizen finally manage to score again? And will Den Bosch manage to remain unbeaten for the 53rd time in a row? Read the previews here.
HURLEY - HOUSES
- Hurley won four of its five matches against Huizen in the Hoofdklasse and lost the other (1-2 in Amstelveen).
- Huizen lost its last six matches and did not score in those. Anne Verbeek was the last Huizen player to score on 5 October. She did so in the 56th minute of the home game with Oranje-Rood (2-2). Huizen is now 364 minutes without a goal in the Hoofdklasse.
- Huizen failed to score in nine of the first 11 games from the league start this season. That equals a negative big league record: it previously only happened to Zwolle in the 1995-1996 season.
- Huizen's last win was the 1-2 visiting Hurley (!) on 24 March 2019.
- Hurley are waiting four matches in a row for a win in the Hoofdklasse (L L D L). The last win was the 2-1 at home against Rotterdam on 17 October.
HDM - DEN BOSCH
- Den Bosch is seven games in a row unbeaten against HDM (W5 D2) since a rare 1-2 home defeat against the Hague team on 18 April 2021.
- That defeat was Den Bosch's only loss against HDM in the last 50 matches between them in the Hoofdklasse (W45 G4).
- HDM lost its last two matches (2-0 Tilburg and 0-1 SCHC), after not losing three in a row before that: 0-0 at HGC, 1-0 Huizen and 1-2 at Rotterdam.
- Den Bosch last lost a regular league game on 18 September 2022: 2-0 against Amsterdam in the Wagener Stadium. Since then, coach Marieke Dijkstra's formation remained unbeaten 52 games in a row (W44 D8).
- HDM is Frédérique Matla's second-favourite opponent in the Hoofdklasse. Den Bosch's striker scored 22 goals against the Hague team. Only against Pinoké did Matla score more often (27 times).
AMSTERDAM - TILBURG
- Amsterdam has yet to lose to Tilburg in the Hoofdklasse, with five matches ending in three wins and two draws.
- The two games between the two teams at Wagener Stadium were both won by Amsterdam: 7-0 and 3-2.
- After the top four (Den Bosch, SCHC, Amsterdam and Pinoké), Tilburg won the most games of all teams in this league (five).
- Tilburg conceded 26 goals in eleven matches. Only Oranje-Rood (28) and Huizen (33) scored more goals.
- Amsterdam attacker Fiona Morgenstern is still four goals away from her fiftieth goal in the Hoofdklasse. She has so far scored six on behalf of Oranje Zwart, 21 on behalf of Oranje-Rood and nineteen in Amsterdam's service.
HGC - PINOKÉ
- Pinoké remained unbeaten in 11 of the last 12 meetings with HGC (W9 D2 L1).
- Pinoké won four of the last five matches with HGC (D1) since a 3-1 defeat in Wassenaar on 8 May 2022.
- HGC has been waiting for a win on its own pitch (D2 L3) for five games. It last happened on September 21 (the 5-0 against Huizen).
- Pinoké is firmly in fourth place after the first half of the competition, a place that will earn a ticket for the play-offs at the end of the season.
- Only Den Bosch has performed better than Pinoké in away games this season. Den Bosch won all five away matches so far, Pinoké won five of its six away matches and suffered one defeat (6-1 at Den Bosch).
- Imke Verstraeten is Pinoké's club top scorer this season with seven goals. With that number, she is on track to improve a club record. Nicci de Haas once scored eleven goals in 2005-2006, the highest number of goals for a Pinoké player in one premier league season.
SCHC - ORANGE-RED
- SCHC has never lost to Oranje-Rood (W11 D4) in the Hoofdklasse.
- The match in Eindhoven of the first half of the competition ended in a big 1-6 win for SCHC. Striker Maud van den Heuvel scored her first Hoofdklasse hat-trick that day (14 September).
- SCHC recorded its eighth win of the season last Wednesday in the catch-up match against HDM (0-1). Only Den Bosch has won more matches so far (11 out of 11).
- SCHC is the most productive team in the Hoofdklasse with 41 goals after eleven matches. Amsterdam and Den Bosch follow with 37 and 36 goals.
- Oranje-Rood lost five of its last six matches in the Hoofdklasse and in between only won at Hurley (1-2 on 27 October).
ROTTERDAM - KAMPONG
- Kampong remained without defeat (W7 D3) in its last 10 underdogs with Rotterdam.
- Rotterdam's last win over Kampong dates from 25 October 2009: it was 3-2 at the Hazelaarweg in Rotterdam then.
- Rotterdam finally recorded another win against Oranje-Rood (1-0) last weekend, after six defeats in a row.
- Rotterdam scored just three goals in its last four home matches: 0-3 Amsterdam, 1-2 HGC, 1-2 HDM and 1-0 Oranje-Rood. Joy Haarman made two, Yasmin Geerlings one.
- Bente van der Veldt already scored seven goals for Kampong halfway through the league. Her personal record stands at nine goals and dates from the 2022-2023 season.
