Wins for men's Bloemendaal and women's HGC
On the nineteenth round of the Tulp Hoofdklasse, Bloemendaal's men and HGC's ladies recorded wins. HGC won 3-0 over HDM on their own pitch on Saturday. Bloemendaal settled with Laren at 't Kopje. It became 5-3.
HGC - HDM 3-0
In the battle against relegation, HGC did what it had to do: win. On its own pitch, HDM was beaten 3-0. It was only HGC's second win in the last fourteen premier league games. Moreover, it was the first home win since 5 October 2025, ending a run of five home defeats in a row.
Just before half-time, Carlijn van Geest opened the scoring from a penalty corner. Just after half-time, Mariona Serrahima did the same from the head of the circle. In the closing stages, Lilly Stoffelsma determined the final score.
It was HDM's eighth defeat in the last 11 league games. The Hague team remains in seventh place for the time being. HGC climbed to the safe ninth spot after the win. The team is one point ahead of number ten Hurley and two ahead of number eleven Oranje-Rood. Both Hurley and Oranje-Rood still play on Sunday.
Bloemendaal - Laren 5-3
The previous encounter was surprisingly won 3-2 by Laren and after four minutes of play at 't Kopje the team was again in the lead. Berend van Langeveld had opened the scoring. The joy was short-lived. A minute later Zach Wallace equalised, after which Bloemendaal ran out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter thanks to two hit penalty corners by Teun Beins. Jan van 't Land made it 4-1 before Kenny Bain made it 4-2 at halftime.
A stunt was not in the cards this time for Laren, which lost 5-3 and recorded its eighth defeat in a row. The team has been waiting for eleven matches for a win in the Tulp Hoofdklasse. On foreign soil, the number 11 of the league table has now waited eighteen games for a three-point win.
For Bloemendaal, it was the first victory after two defeats in a row. The team is close to number four Pinoké to two points, but the Behemoths are still in action on Sunday.
