Hard-fought win Pinoké in Bosderby over Hurley
Pinoké's ladies recorded a hard-fought victory in the Bos derby on the eleventh round of the Tulp Hoofdklasse. The three points could be in the bag on Saturday after a 2-1 win over neighbours Hurley.
HURLEY - PINOKÉ 1-2
Pinoké finally recorded another victory over Hurley after six meetings between them without a win. It was the first win for the Steekneuzen since 28 February 2021 when they won 2-0 against their neighbours. After only two minutes, Pinoké took the lead through a goal by Lana Kalse. That lead was doubled before half-time by Maria Steensma, who made her comeback after injury.
Pinoké seemed to be heading for an easy win, but Hurley fought back. Thanks to a well-aimed penalty corner by Valentina Costa Biondi, the tension completely returned. For a moment, Hurley even seemed to make it 2-2, but the goal was not awarded. The referees determined that the ball had not been touched in the circle by a Hurley player.
So Pinoké recorded another victory after two league games in which only one point was scored. Hurley is now four games without a win. The loss in the Bosderby is already the sixth defeat in eleven premier league games.
