Amsterdam sign British goalkeeper Oliver Payne

Amsterdam have once again announced a transfer. The club has signed Oliver 'Ollie' Payne, the 25-year-old goalkeeper of the England and Great Britain national team, for next season.

At the Paris Olympics, Payne made it to the quarter-finals with Great Britain. In the press release, Amsterdam writes that Payne is known for "his spectacular reflexes and icy composure".

The goalkeeper is the successor of Joren Romijn, who will leave Amsterdam at the end of the season. Payne comes over from Holcombe, a club in the English Hockey Premier League.
