On the sixteenth round of the Tulp Hoofdklasse Women, Den Bosch and SCHC took the full spoils. Leaders Den Bosch won Saturday's away match against Rotterdam 2-0 and SCHC, the number two on the league table, was too strong for Tilburg at home.

Rotterdam - Den Bosch 0-2

Leaders Den Bosch won 2-0 against the home team on a visit to Rotterdam. Both goals fell in the second quarter and were scored by Lieve Wijckmans and Teuntje de Wit. It was the fifteenth win in sixteen league games for coach Marieke Dijkstra's team. Meanwhile, Den Bosch is already 57 league games unbeaten.

For Rotterdam it was another disappointment: the team suffered its fifth defeat in a row and lost eleven of the last twelve matches. Scoring also remains difficult; in the last seven home games Rotterdam managed to find the net only three times. Despite these figures, the team is still in ninth place, but HDM and Oranje-Rood can surpass Jordy van der Waart's team on Sunday. By the way, Rotterdam will have to do without goalkeeper Iris Nikerk for the rest of the season. She decided to end her hockey career immediately last week.

SCHC - Tilburg 1-0

Tilburg seemed to be on their way to a point against SCHC for a long time, but ten minutes before time, Yibbi Jansen decided the match with a penalty stroke that was utilised. It was her 149th goal in the Tulp Hoofdklasse and gave SCHC its seventh win in a row. In this strong series, the team kept the nil six times. For Tilburg, the defeat marked the end of a run of four league games without a loss.
