Top scorers: personal best for Chris Taberima
The top scorer list in the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men is still led by Boris Burkhardt. But Amsterdam's striker is chased by six players.
For only the second round of play this season, Amsterdam attacker Boris Burkhardt failed to score last weekend. However, with 16 goals the goalgetter remains leader in the top shooters' standings for the time being, but the competitors are closing in.
Miles Bukkens made the biggest progress on the top scorers' list during the past tenth round of play. With five goals (and an assist) , the 21-year-old Pinoké striker made a huge contribution in the away win over Hurley (0-7). Chris Taberima also did good business. The HDM midfielder accounted for both his team's goals in the home game against Klein Zwitserland (2-2).
Taberima increased his production to eleven goals this season, an improvement on his goal record from the previous season when he scored eight times on behalf of the Hague team. With 11 goals, Taberima provided more than half of his team's production. The five other goal scorers combined to score nine goals.
